MAKESENSE
Entrepreneur & Community Developer MENA
Lebanon
Passionate Community developer for MakeSense.org in Lebanon & coordinator for MENA. MakeSense is a Global French Social Enterprise based in Paris, to accelerate social business by helping existing social start-ups improve/ sustain their impact or by creating new social business ideas. -We endorse social entrepreneurs and they are individuals who launch a startup project to find solutions for society's most pressing needs.
- After launching MakeSense in Lebanon and in the region, we have mobilized over 600 participants in 40 different events in a period of 5 months to engage in causes from #education to #waste and from #refugees to #foodsecurity.
-Makesense & Refugees: We are currently filming a documentary about social business help for refugees in Lebanon and sent the film makers to Turkey, Lesbos, Berlin next. We have developed Tracksense, a tool to measure the performance and impact of social businesses we are helping and it will first be tested on social projects helping out refugees. The Syrian refugees today represent 25% of Lebanon's residents before the Syrian revolution.
